The world moves faster every day, and our ability to focus is being stretched thinner than ever. We are expected to learn more, do more, and be more, all while the noise around us keeps rising.
A close friend of mine struggled with this for a long time. No matter how hard they tried, they could not find a way to settle their mind and study deeply. I watched them try everything: countless apps, curated playlists, even complete silence. Nothing seemed to work.
That is why I built Focus Flow.
I wanted to create something simple, free, and genuinely effective. A space where students like us could step away from the chaos and actually lock in. No subscriptions. No ads. No clutter. Just science backed soundscapes that help your brain find its rhythm.
This project is my small way of giving back to the student community. I am a student myself, and I know firsthand how hard it can be to stay on track. If this tool helps even one person study better, sleep deeper, or feel more motivated, then it has already been worth it.

Focus Flow is a client-side only application. We do not operate any backend servers, databases, or user accounts. All data — including your timer progress, session streaks, lap times, category preferences, and settings — is stored exclusively in your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
Since we collect nothing, we use nothing. The application reads your localStorage solely to restore your previous session state when you return — this is purely local computation within your browser. Audio playback is processed entirely client-side via the Web Audio API. No analytics, tracking scripts, cookies, or fingerprinting technologies are deployed beyond a privacy-friendly Cloudflare analytics beacon which collects anonymised page-view counts only.
Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Google may log your IP address and browser details when the font files are requested. Refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details.
Cloudflare Analytics: We use a lightweight privacy-first analytics beacon (static.cloudflareinsights.com) that reports anonymous page-load counts without cookies, IP storage, or cross-site tracking. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
You have full control over your data at all times. Use the Back up progress button on the Timer slide to export your data as a JSON file, and Restore backup to import it. To clear all local data, use your browser’s “Clear site data” option, or open Developer Tools and run localStorage.clear(). Since we hold none of your data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
